Pūlama Lāna‘i Advances Community and InfrastructureProjects

Lāna‘i Bowl construction

Pūlama Lāna‘i continues its efforts to enhance housing availability, community resources and resort amenities through multiple construction and renovation initiatives across the island. The following updates highlight key projects currently underway or in development.

Lāna‘i Bowl Community Center

The Lāna‘i Bowl project, revitalizing the former bowling alley site, is progressing through its foundation phase and is expected to finish by late 2025. The new center will offer a four-lane bowling alley, arcade, full-service kitchen and soda fountain bar. While construction requires temporary closure of central Dole Park, the completed project promises a vibrant community gathering spot and new employment opportunities.

Ninth and Queen Street – Triangle Housing Development

Construction is underway at the Ninth and Queen Street – Triangle Housing Development, with completion targeted for December 2025. The project will add a four-bedroom and a two-bedroom home to the rental market, managed by Pūlama Lāna‘i’s residential leasing operation. Minimal traffic disruptions are expected, limited to brief utility connections at Queen Street. The design will echo the architectural style of Sensei Lāna‘i’s farm dwellings, contributing cohesively to the community’s character.

Renovation of Homes Around Town

Efforts to refresh vacated housing units continue with three homes renovated in early 2025 and 11 apartments scheduled for renovation in the second quarter. The renovations aim to quickly return properties to the rental market without causing disruption to residents or businesses. Emphasis is placed on preserving the historical integrity and community aesthetics of each home, maintaining quality housing availability island-wide.

Mozza Restaurant Renovation at Four Seasons

Mozza Restaurant renovations

Renovations at Mozza Restaurant (formerly ONE FORTY) in Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i are currently underway, with completion expected in late 2025. Upgrades will modernize the restaurant, enhancing guest dining experiences. Construction will be conducted without impacting resort operations or guest stays.

Front Entrance Renovation at Four Seasons Lāna‘i

The front entrance of Four Seasons Resort Lāna‘i is undergoing landscape renovations to enhance visual appeal and the arrival experience for guests. Construction is carefully managed to avoid guest disruptions. The renovation will feature improved landscaping that complements the resort’s natural aesthetics.

Hi‘i Waterline Replacement Project

The Hi‘i Waterline Replacement Project, currently in the design review phase, is set to begin construction in 2027. It will replace the existing, problematic waterline, improving reliability of potable water service. Directional drilling techniques will minimize environmental disruption, preserving the mountain landscape.

Hōkūao Community Center

Construction continues on the Hōkūao Community Center, set for completion by December 2025. Designed as a versatile hub for community activities, the center will include two multipurpose rooms connected by an open-air breezeway and complemented by an adjacent three-acre park.
