Natalie Ropa Named Satellite Manager at UH Maui College Lānaʻi Education Center

Natalie Ropa officially stepped into the role of satellite manager at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College Lānaʻi Education Center on Jan. 1.

The move comes after Pamela Alconcel’s retirement last July, and for many in the community, the change will feel natural. Natalie has long been a familiar face at the center and said her focus now is keeping everything connected and accessible. “Managing the Lānaʻi Education Center, leading outreach, supporting students, working with community and high school students, and facilitating workforce development programs on the island,” she said.

Coming from student support services, Natalie continues to work closely with community partners and grantors to keep dual enrollment and other education pathways available for Lānaʻi residents looking to continue or return to school.

As for any visible changes, don’t expect many. Asked if she would be moving into Pam’s former office, Natalie said she plans to stay put. “I like my office,” she said. “Everything’s pretty much going to stay the same.”
